Phoenix v Rush
28 April 2008

Phoenix won the toss and elected to bowl, but a good opening partnership by Rush only being broken by a run-out, who was the highest wicket taker of the day with 3 of Rush's batsmen and 2 of the home side falling to this method of dismissal.

Rush amassed 194 for 9 in their allotted overs with Daan Van Zyl scoring 62, Sadat Gul 49 not out and Conor Mullen 31. In reply the opening bat and captain Rory Flanagan made 54 before seizing up from cramp, which meant he was unable to get to a good delivery.

He was assisted by some spirited resistance towards the end of their innings from Conliffe 21 and Flanagan 28.
Sadat Gul took 3 - 22 as Phoenix fell 25 short leaving Rush the winners.
